As we drive to Fethiye, we will be passing through some
breathtaking mountain passes. Once in Fethiye, you will
be taken to the market place for a chance to buy some
Turkish wares. Later, lunch will be served in a famous
restaurant near the deserted Greek village Kayakoy.
And, your guide will tell you the interesting story
relating to this old deserted Greek village.
Of course for many, the highlights of this trip will

Old Koycegiz
Old Koycegiz was once a thriving town.
This was the original Koycegiz, owned by the ''Selcuk''
before the Ottoman Empire in the 15th century. The people
of ''Selcuk'' known as the ''Mentese Ogullari'' were
a very rich union who owned land covering the area from
Iztuzu Beach to the other side of Koycegiz as it is
now known.
The downfall of this thriving people
was an earthquake that filled the valleys to create
what is now Lake Koycegiz. Only half of the old town
still exists. This area is now protected and the original
descendants of the ''Mentese Ogullari'' occupy the dwellings.
Our tour by boat travels over Lake Koycegiz
covering the area where half of Old Koycegiz once was.
We then travel by foot through the old laneways and
roads to see the antique buildings and the people who
live here today. A unique experience not to be missed!

Ephesus
Ephesus is the best preserved
classical city on the Mediterranean, and perhaps the
best place in the world to get the feeling for what
life was like in Roman times. As a strategic coastal
gateway to the Eastern World, this Ionian refuge grew
to be the second largest city in the Roman Empire, the
site of a Christian shrine, and one of the ''Seven Wonders
of the Ancient World''. Legend has it that the Virgin
Mary, accompanied by St. Paul, came to Ephesus at the
end of her life, circa 37-45 AD. Renaissance church
historians mentioned the trip, and it is said that local
Christians venerated a small house near Ephesus as Mary's.
In 1967 Pope Paul VI visited the site, where a chapel
now stands, and confirmed the authenticity of the legend.
Our departure is early in the morning for the 3000 year
old town. Ephesus, once the commercial centre of the
ancient world - is a highlight of any visit to Turkey.
The city, whose wealth and patronage supported its splendid
architectural program, was dedicated to the goddess
Artemis. Her enormous temple has been rebuilt several
times and dates in its latest form from the third century
BC. The ruins also include a threatre, gymnasium, agora
and baths, as well as the Library of Celsius. One of
the ''Seven Churches of Revelation''.

Solar Power boat trips
This is an exciting new project for Kardak
Tourism and Dalyan. The first solar power boat for Dalyan
and Turkey. Using one of our normal river boats we are
exchanging the diesel engine for an electric engine
powered by solar panels. With the help of experts from
Germany in the solar power field we plan to have our
first solar powered boat ready for the 2005 summer season.
Our main aim of this project is to preserve
the waterways of the Dalyan Delta from Diesel polution,
giving the Caretta Caretta turtles, the Trionyx triunguis
fresh water turtles, birds, fish and the flora a healthy
